PSA: Space still available in Kodiak fishing vessel refrigeration workshop


Space still available for fishermen interested in Kodiak workshop to maintain and troubleshoot their onboard refrigeration systems

The Alaska Sea Grant Marine Advisory Program and Integrated Marine Systems, Inc. will hold a one-day workshop in Kodiak on November 29 to teach fishermen how to maintain, operate and troubleshoot onboard fishing vessel refrigeration equipment. The refrigeration workshop will begin at 8:30 am at the UAF Fisheries Industrial Technology Center in Kodiak.

Fishermen also will learn about refrigeration theory, system winterization, controller programming, and system sizing. Fishermen will use a marine refrigeration unit for hands-on training.

The cost of the workshop is $200, and includes a refrigeration manual. The workshop is open to all fishermen and pre-registration is required by November 22.
