Kendall Auto Alaska Announces Programs to Donate $40,000 to Area Charities


Anchorage, AK (November 18, 2011)—Kendall Automotive Group today announced it’s Kendall Cares program, an ongoing initiative designed to give back and support the communities Kendall serves, its customers and Kendall employees.

As part of the first initiative to give back to the community, Kendall Toyota and Kendall Lexus will be awarding eight charities in the Anchorage area $5,000 each.  Selection of these charities will begin on Monday, November 21.  Area non-profits (must be a registered 501C-3 organization) can apply or be nominated online at www.KendallAutoAlaskaCares.com.  Applications will be accepted until Noon on Monday, December 5th.  At that time, finalists will be chosen and from December 6th through the 18th, public voting will take place on Kendall’s facebook page.  Public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite charities and on December 19th, the winning eight charities will be announced.

“We wanted to engage the community and the supporters of a number of worthy non-profits in our area,” said Mike Morris, General Manager of Kendall Toyota/Scion/Lexus in Anchorage.  “This program will allow their voices to be heard as we award $40,000 to great organizations in our communities.”
