ERM, the world's leading global environmental consultancy, today announced that it has acquired OASIS Environmental, Inc. (OASIS), an environmental services company headquartered in Alaska, USA, with around 100 employees in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. The company provides impact assessment and permitting, oil spill response and remediation, EHS management and water/ecological management services. Operating predominantly in the oil and gas and mining sectors, OASIS has offices in Alaska, Montana and Washington; this transaction strengthens ERM's leading position in the resources sector.

John Alexander, CEO of ERM said: "The acquisition of OASIS is an exciting development for ERM. It strengthens our ability to support major capital resources projects for our global clients operating in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. In addition, OASIS' clients, the services it offers and its approach to the market align perfectly with ERM's culture, market position and ambitions.

"I look forward to welcoming the OASIS team as they join ERM as Partners and employees."

Max Schwenne, President of OASIS commented: "'Since 1995 the directors and staff at OASIS have built a company based on the highest commitment to quality, technical excellence and customer service. OASIS decided to join with ERM because our corporate cultures and values are similar. ERM provides our staff enhanced career opportunities while maintaining flexibility, and with ERM we are better positioned to continue to expand and diversify.  ERM gains an expanded footprint in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest, as well as enhanced growth opportunities in their core market sectors of oil and gas and mining.
