BBB Release: Tourists Left Searching For Answers
Anchorage, Alaska – Nov. 8, 2011 – Soaring Eagle Native American Art, based in Ketchikan, Alaska, has earned an "F" rating with Better Business Bureau serving Alaska, Oregon and Western Washington for its pattern of unanswered complaints.
After purchasing products from Soaring Eagle Native American Art and agreeing to have items shipped to their homes, cruise ship tourists allege that the merchandise never arrives. The shop's phone number is currently disconnected and it fails to respond to email inquiries, leaving customers with little recourse during off-season months.
Vacation spending tips:
Explore the store. Before making purchases, research reliable retailers on alaska.bbb.org.
Stash the cash. Pay with credit whenever possible, especially for large purchases. It is easier to dispute charges with credit card companies than attempt to reclaim cash.
Think in ink. Make sure to get all aspects of the transaction in writing, including contact information and purchase policies. This makes addressing issues easier if there are problems down the road.
