Jeff Russell Promoted at DOT&PF
The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is pleased to announce that Jeff Russell has accepted the position of Dalton District Maintenance Superintendent. Jeff has worked with DOT&PF for 18 years. Prior to accepting the position he worked in the DOT&PF Construction Division as an Engineering Associate. Jeff has extensive experience working on projects along the Dalton Highway and his familiarity and knowledge is of great value to DOT&PF.As the Dalton District Maintenance Superintendent Jeff and his Dalton team are responsible for the maintenance and operation of 571 miles of highway, eleven airports and nine maintenance camps, and an annual budget of over $15 million. The Dalton Highway travels through diverse geographic regions, from steep mountains to flat coastal plain to sea level. On average 200 vehicles travel the Dalton Highway each day, 50% of the traffic is heavy trucks.
