Independence Mine SHP Preservation Plan Public Scoping Meeting December 1, 2010

(Wasilla, AK) - The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation will host a public scoping meeting on Wednesday, December 1st beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Mat-Su Fire Department Station 65, 680 N Seward Meridian Pkwy, located off the Palmer-Wasilla Hwy, Wasilla.

The purpose of this meeting is to receive comments and suggestions from key stakeholders and interested members of the community that will help shape the Independence Mine State Historical Park Preservation Plan.

Project planners will present a general overview of the project’s scope, goals and objectives, and general timeline.
