Though Not Dead Rocks Reviewers

Though Not Dead Rocks Reviewers

Three months out from publication day, Publisher's Weekly calls the 18th Kate Shugak novel 'brilliant,' and Kirkus calls it 'a fascinating read.'  Click here and here to read both reviews in full.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Kathryn Campbell of Columbia, illinois, is -- ta dah! -- the second winner of an advanced reading copy!  She writes, "I have nothing to wear to read this book! It is such a special thing, that I probably should go buy a formal gown or something. No, I will go buy a white t-shirt and wear my most comfortable pair of jeans.Thank you again. I am beyond delighted!"  Kate would say jeans and t-shirt, definitely.  Actually, me, too.

If you, dear Known Reader, did not win, do not despair!  I have two more ARCs to give away, and yours may be the next name to fall out of the hopper.  That is, if you have subscribed to the Roadhouse Report newsletter here.

Click here to pre-order your personally-signed-by-me-on-publication-day copy of Though Not Dead. Better yet, join us in Scottsdale on February 1st!  There might be a Danamaniac or two in the house.

Or click here to pre-order it on Amazon.

And, breathing heavily down Kate18's neck...

...is the hardcover publication of the first Kate Shugak novel!  A Cold Day for Murder, a paperback original back in 1993, will sashay out in Poisoned Pen Press crinoline to make her debut between hard covers on February 1st.  Not that Kate Shugak ever in her life imagined herself in hoop skirts at a debutante's ball. But loving the visual...

(And still loveloveloving that fabulous cover by Patrick Hoi Yan Cheung.)
