Many new homes near scenic Machetanz Elementary will soon have a higher capacity direct road for access. The new Trunk Road Extension South will connect subdivisions south of the Parks Highway. The 1.5 mile project will eliminate an at-grade crossing with the railroad with the installation of a new bridge, improving safety for the area. The new road will remove busy school traffic from congested subdivision roads as well.
