Scott Bohne, AIA, NCARB, CSI, CCS, LEED AP and a Principal with RIM Architects, LLC, has passed the Certified Construction Contract Administrator exam and can add CCCA to his list of accreditations. Administered by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), architecture and engineering professionals with CCCA accreditation bring value to project owners and design teams by providing documentation and monitoring of construction activities, ensuring that provisions of the construction contract are being reasonably fulfilled. As a CCCA, Scott understands the role of each construction participant, is sensitive to each participant’s expectations, and understands the effect that various project delivery methods have on construction contract administration and contractor project management. Excellent communication skills are essential to successful CCCA performance. Scott joined RIM Architects in 1989 and has been a Principal since 2001. With 32 years of Alaskan architectural experience, he created and manages the firm’s Building Envelope & Science Technology Studio, providing forensic, repair and replacement solutions for roofs, doors, windows and exterior envelope issues for hundreds of projects. He is also RIM Architects’ specialist for projects completed under term contracts, including for the State of Alaska and Anchorage School District. Scott earned both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from North Dakota State University. He is the Chair of the Municipality of Anchorage Board of Building Examiners and Appeals, and sits on the Bidding Review Board. Scott is also an instructor for UAA’s Northern Design, a course required for professional licensure of Architects in Alaska, where he teaches the section on roofing in Alaska.  He is also an instructor for the CSI Construction Documents Technician preparation course. Scott has dedicated his career to technical excellence and mentors RIM’s architect-interns, ensuring that the next generation of Alaskan architects follows his lead.
