Loussac Library in Anchorage Receives $10M for Renovations

We love the Loussac!
$10M for Loussac! Thank You Supporters!

The Governor has approved the capital budget without vetoes, which means that we now officially have $10M for the Loussac entrance renovation!

Without the bond funding, we are still short for the project, but this amount will be enough to get us started on construction next spring! We'll keep you posted on next steps.

Thanks to all of you who made calls, testified, sent emails and rallied around this important project!

We especially want to recognize Senator Anna Fairclough for championing the project and our other legislative champions: Senators Meyer and McGuire and Representatives Stoltze, Costello and Holmes.

The project also received great local support from Mayor Sullivan and the Anchorage Assembly, many of whom went to Juneau on behalf of the Loussac project.

And finally, we thank the following for their great letters of support: Anchorage Economic Development Corporation, TDX Corporation, Cook Inlet Housing Authority, Sand Lake Community Council, Spenard Community Council, Senator Begich and Anchorage Youth Development Coalition
