Hospital Hosts Alternative ‘Hands-Only’ CPR Trainings

May 21, 2014, Anchorage, AK - Alaska Regional Hospital is planning a week of free Hands-Only CPR training during National CPR Week, June 1-7, 2014. Depending on the circumstances, cardiac arrest can happen to anyone of any age at any time. According to the American Heart Association, CPR can double or even triple a victim’s chance of survival. Hands-Only CPR has been shown to be equally as effective as conventional mouth-to-mouth CPR, and people are more likely to feel comfortable performing it.

Hands-Only CPR training classes are free, but participants are asked to reserve their space by contacting 264-1113 or audry.patrick@hcahealthcare.com. All sessions take place in the Ivy Room on the first floor of Alaska Regional Hospital.
