Bering Straits Native Corp. Shareholder Promoted to Director, Corporate Communications
(Anchorage, Alaska) – Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) has announced the promotion of BSNC shareholder Miriam Aarons to Director, Corporate Communications. In her new role, Aarons is responsible for brand management, public relations, coordinating media communications and helping oversee BSNC’s charitable giving efforts.
“Miriam has the right kind of experience and attitude we are looking for as we continue our pro-active communications approach,” said BSNC Vice President of External Affairs, Matt Ganley. “Miriam has demonstrated an exceptional ability to pull people together to implement projects and gain outcomes related to inter-corporate communications and external affairs. She works well with others at every level and location within the corporate structure.”
Aarons formerly served as BSNC’s Corporate Communications Manager. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a field concentration in International Relations from Columbia University in New York City. She is a member of the Alaska Native Heritage Center’s Development Committee.
