Alyeska, BP, Conoco, Exxon, and Shell Host a Fundraiser for First Alaskans Institute 6.18.13
Dear Friends -
"Without the FAI internship, I would not have my profession in philanthropy, a sector I am so passionate about. The internship got my foot in the door. It encouraged me to learn more about current issues among Alaska Natives, and made me realize we all have the opportunity to be part of solutions.”
~Former Summer Intern
Please join us at a fundraiser to benefit First Alaskans programs on June 18th. It will be held at the Petroleum Club in Anchorage, Alaska. Our host committee is made up of several oil industry leaders– Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, BP, ConocoPhillips, Exxon Mobil, and Shell. Please see attached invitation or below for further details.
As a statewide Alaska Native non-profit, First Alaskans Institute works to ensure our Alaska Native Policy Center, Leadership Development, and Community Engagement initiatives are focused on long term, proactive community impacts – we grow leaders, catalyze empowerment, and engage people in leading the changes they want for their communities. Your generous contribution will help First Alaskans Institute continue this critical work of achieving “progress for the next 10,000 years…”
The quote above is from one of our summer interns explaining the impact our program has had on her. It not only directly connected her to employment, but it has also helped prepare her and strengthen her voice on issues she cares about. Please join us for our fundraiser to help support these amazing young people and our programs.
If you are unable to attend, we hope you will consider contributing to growing empowered leadership and community via our website at www.firstalaskans.org/donations or mail your donation to the address below. Apologies if you receive an invitation on more than one occasion. We look forward to seeing you!
