State land auction bids due Wednesday, May 30 at 5 p.m.

The bidding period for the State of Alaska’s Sealed-Bid Land Auction for Alaska residents ends at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 30.

This offering of more than 450 surveyed parcels includes oceanfront, lakefront, riverfront, and roadside parcels, as well as remote, interior and fly-in lots across the state.

If part of your Alaskan dream is to own a piece of the “Last Frontier,” the Department of Natural Resources encourages you to review the properties listed in the free brochures available from its Public Information Centers in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau, and online from links provided from the DNR home page or the Land Sales site at http://dnr.alaska.gov/mlw/landsale/.

Sealed bids may be submitted in person, by mail, or online until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.  The bids will be opened the following week and the apparent high bidders will be notified soon after, as described in the brochure.

Additional information about the department’s other land sale programs, including the upcoming Initial Over-the-Counter Offering open to both residents and non-residents beginning in June, is available on the Land Sales website and from the Public Information Centers.

For faster, more frequent updates, subscribe to the program's email list, "like" DNR Land Sales on Facebook at http://facebook.com/AlaskaLand/, or follow the program on Twitter at http://twitter.com/#AlaskaLand4Sale/.
