Final Four Entertainers Announced for Alaska State Fair’s 2012 AT&T Concert Series

Tickets on Sale to Fair Members May 18, to General Public June 1

 

Big & Rich, Air Supply, Five Finger Death Punch, and Gary Allan round out the entertainment line-up for the Alaska State Fair’s 2012 AT&T Concert Series. All shows take place rain or shine at the Borealis Theatre on the fairgrounds. Advance tickets are available to Fair members beginning Friday, May 18. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 1.

Saturday, August 25: Big & Rich with special guests Cowboy Troy and Bradley Gaskin. Presented by K-Bear 104.1, Alaska’s Hottest Country and Miller Genuine Draft. This eclectic country duo is “Comin’ to Your City” and audiences will be “Lost in This Moment” when they take the stage with hits like “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)!” Tickets are $55 for reserved standing, and $40 for general admission. Fair admission additional. Please note there is no seating at this concert.

Monday, August 27: Air Supply. This legendary pop duo is famous for melodic harmonies and original songs like “Lost in Love,” “All Out of Love,” “The One that You Love,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Making Love Out of Nothing at All.” Tickets are $35 for reserved seating, and $20 for general admission. Fair admission additional.

Friday, August 31: Five Finger Death Punch. Presented by 106.5 KWHL Alaska’s Rock. This melodic heavy metal machine comes armed with hits like “Bad Company” and “Far From Home” from their first two Gold-status albums, and riding the wave of their latest release, which features the single “Under and Over It” and “Back for More.” Tickets are $50 for reserved standing, and $35 for general admission. Fair admission additional. Please note there is no seating at this concert.

Sunday, September 2: Gary Allan. Presented by Bud Light. This superstar singer-songwriter burst onto the country scene with “Her Man,” the first of nearly a dozen top 10s and four #1 hits, including “Watching Airplanes,” “Life Ain’t Always Beautiful” and “Best I Ever Had.” Tickets are $50 for reserved standing, and $35 for general admission. Fair admission additional. Please note there is no seating at this concert.

These entertainers join the previously announced AT&T Concert Series line-up, including:

·         Creed on Thursday, August 23. Presented by Mix 103.1 and Heineken.

·         Theory of a Deadman on Friday, August 24. Presented by Miller Genuine Draft.

·         Styx on Sunday, August 26. Presented by KOOL 97.3 all classics and the Anchorage Press.

·         Jo Dee Messina on Tuesday, August 28.  Presented by Country Legends 100.9.

·         The Avett Brothers on Wednesday, August 29. Presented by KNBA 90.3 FM.

·         Jeff Dunham on Thursday, August 30.  Presented by Mix 103.1 and News Talk 750 AM.

·         George Thorogood & the Destroyers on Saturday, September 1. Presented by 100.5 The FOX.

·         Hot Chelle Rae on Monday, September 3.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the final four concerts – Big & Rich with special guests Cowboy Troy and Bradley Gaskin, Air Supply, Five Finger Death Punch, and Gary Allan – go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 1. Fair members may purchase tickets in advance starting Friday, May 18 by calling the Fair main office 745-4827 or 1-800-850-3247. To become a Fair member and take advantage of the advance ticket offer, visit the Fair website at alaskastatefair.org.

Tickets to the previously announced concerts are on sale now. Fairgoers can buy and print tickets online at alaskastatefair.org and at facebook.com/alaskastatefair; purchase tickets using the free iPhone app from ETIX, available at the iPhone app store or on iTunes (please note that only “best available” seats are available through the ETIX app); or get tickets at the Borealis Box Office on the fairgrounds during the Fair. Convenience fees apply, with the exception of tickets purchased at the Borealis Box Office, which does not charge fees.

Fair admission is additional; fairgoers are encouraged to take advantage of money-saving offers, such as the Fair season pass, available now through July 31 at alaskastatefair.org.
