Era Aviation wins Airline Reliability Performance Award
ANCHORAGE -- Era Alaska announced MAy 17 that wholly-owned subsidiary, Era Aviation, has been awarded a 2011 Airline Reliability Performance Award from Bombardier Aerospace, achieving the highest overall dispatch reliability and placing first overall in the Q100/200/300 product category for the North America region.
Award winners were selected based on a review of the reliability statistics from aircraft maker Bombardier’s FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) data for airlines achieving over 99 percent dispatch reliability and who operated revenue passenger flights at the time of recognition. Product categories include Q100/200/300, Q400, CRJ100/200, and CRJ 700/900/1000.
Steve Cotting, Era Aviation’s Director of Product Reliability, accepted the award on behalf of Era Aviation at the annual Airline Reliability Performance Awards Gala Dinner at the Disney Atlantic Dance Hall in Orlando, Florida Monday, April 30.
Era Aviation is the largest operator of Bombardier’s Dash 8 Q-Series aircraft in the state of Alaska and one of more than 20 airlines operating the type in North America. In the past 16 months, Era Aviation has expanded its Dash 8 fleet from four to six and plans to add a seventh in September of this year.
Era Alaska is the largest regional airline based in the state, offering daily passenger and cargo services to nearly 100 communities across Alaska.
