Three Unions Ratify Labor Agreements with State(Juneau, AK) - The State of Alaska Department of Administration announces that the Alaska Public Employees Association (APEA-AFT) has notified the State that the members of the Supervisory Unit have voted to approve the Collective Bargaining Agreement that was finalized by the State and the Union on April 2.
On May 4 Public Employees Local 71 announced that members of the Labor, Trades and Crafts Bargaining Unit (LTC) had ratified its agreement. In March, the Teachers Education Association of Mt. Edgecumbe (TEAME) ratified the agreement with the State.
Two bargaining units with pending agreements are expected to vote by mid-June. Ratification of the agreement between the State and its largest bargaining unit the Alaska State Employees Association, AFSCME Local 52-General Government Unit (ASEA-GGU) is pending a vote of the membership. Also pending is ratification by the Confidential Employees Association (APEA-CEA).
