Anchorage Museum switches to summer hours Sunday Just in time for Mother's Day, the Anchorage Museum returns to its summer schedule. Starting Sunday, May 8, museum hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, open until 9 p.m. Thursday. Summer hours are in effect until Sept. 12. This weekend also marks the return of the museum's daily summer films and docent-led tours. Films focusing on Alaska's history, nature, art and culture are shown at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. daily in the museum's auditorium. Docent-guided history and art tours are offered at noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Films and tours are included with museum admission. For a detailed schedule, visit www.anchoragemuseum.org.
