Alaska Historical Commission to Meet May 12-13 in Fairbanks
The Alaska Historical Commission will meet in Fairbanks, Wednesday, May 12, 2010, starting at 1:00 p.m., and continue Thursday, May 13, 2010, starting at 9:00 a.m. and concluding at 3:30 p.m. The meeting will be in the State Office Building, 675 Seventh Avenue, 2nd Floor, Conference Room H-4, Fairbanks, Alaska 99701. For people who wish to address the members of the commission on matters relating to history and archaeology, the time set for members of the public to speak is 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, 2010. The agenda includes discussion of Office of History and Archaeology, Alaska Department of Natural Resources, programs; national and state historic preservation issues; action on two geographic name proposals; and review of applications for Certified Local Government, predevelopment, and development projects.
