Announcing the 2014 Alaska Miners Association Biennial Conference in Fairbanks, Alaska
Mining is one of the brightest spots in the Alaskan economy. Annually, the industry brings in $180 million in exploration activities; and an additional $250 million in mine construction and other capital investment. It also creates about 4,600 jobs with an average wage of $100,000 a year. This Spring you can learn everything you wanted to know about mining in Alaska, right in your backyard. The Alaska Miners Association will be holding their 2014 Biennial Conference April 7-13 in Fairbanks.
The conference and associated events will be held at the Carlson Center. The convention will feature a multitude of lectures and workshops from industry experts; field trips to the Pogo and Ft Knox Mines; a HUGE trade show; and the opportunity to network with individuals involved with all aspects of Alaska's mining industry.
