U.S. Energy Information Administration Expands Analysis

March 25, 2013

EIA is pleased to announce the launch of a new international energy analysis product, Country Analysis Notes (CANs), which consists of brief analytical bullets  on a  specific country’s energy sector. CANs will focus on  those nations that are not subject to in-depth Country Analysis Briefs (CABs) by EIA. CANs will be used to explain international energy data trends and noteworthy energy developments around the world and allow EIA to expand the number of countries covered by its international analysis. CABs, which are longer and more detailed analyses with graphics than CANs, will continue to serve as the primary outlet for EIA's analyses of the largest energy producing  and energy consuming countries. EIA has already published CANs for several countries, including Bahrain, BruneiBurma (Myanmar), Chile, France, Germany, Israel, Jordan, Latvia, LithuaniaLebanon, the Netherlands, PanamaSpain, and Ukraine.
