Ocean Beauty Launches New Website
Seattle, WA – Ocean Beauty Seafoods announced today the launch of its redesigned website at http://www.oceanbeauty.com. The new website reflects the company’s experience and leadership in high quality sustainable seafood, smoked salmon, value-added products, seafood distribution, and Alaska shoreside processing.
“Our goals are to make the website easy to navigate and as comprehensive as possible,” said Tom Sunderland, Ocean Beauty’s Vice President of Marketing. “It’s about telling our story and making sure that both consumers and industry members have easy access to the information they need. For example, if someone is interested in what we do in Alitak, Alaska, or is wants to know how to find our location in Salt Lake City, or wants to know about the history of the company, they can find that information with a minimum of effort.”
Among the features that are new or enhanced is a blog page, called Sea Soundings, which carries stories from all of Ocean Beauty’s operations, new product announcements, links to employment opportunities, product sell sheets, recipes, nutrition and safe handling information, as well as the complete text of Ocean Beauty’s Seafood Sustainability Policy.
“There’s no way for a website to do everything,” Sunderland continued, “and therefore we tried to find a proper balance of content and style that keeps it simple and still allows us to include a great deal of detailed content where appropriate. The new design and layout is attractive and intuitive, which we hope will lead to increased usage. We will be continuously improving the site and changing as events and products change.”
