Ahtna Announces New Vice President of Human Resources

Anchorage, Alaska – Ahtna Netiye’, Inc. is pleased to announce that Ms. Belinda Northway-Thomas will join our Ahtna management team as Vice President of Human Resources.

Much of Northway-Thomas’ career has been spent working in Native organizations, such as Doyon, Northway Natives Inc., and Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium. She brings a broad and diverse background of work experience, including Human Resources Management and Business Operations. She is regarded by her peers as a results-driven and people-focused professional. She has lead organizational mission critical projects, such as a consolidation of HR services and an accelerated performance improvement effort resulting in financial recovery and client satisfaction.

Northway-Thomas will be assuming her new position on April 1, 2013.

As such, it is important for our Human Resources system to interlock (in partnership) with operations to ensure overall business success.” Northway-Thomas said. “This is a great time to join the Ahtna team. Northway-Thomas is originally from Northway, Alaska. She and her father, Danny Thomas, travel often within the Ahtna region.  Her family maintains friendships and family ties with the people of Ahtna. She actively participates in cultural activities, including Native dance and singing.

Northway-Thomas has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University.
