Board of Forestry to Meet in Juneau
(Anchorage, AK) – The Board of Forestry will meet in Juneau on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 20-21, starting at 8:30 a.m. on March 20 and 8 a.m. on March 21. The meeting will be held in the fourth floor conference room of the Department of Natural Resources building at 400 Willoughby Avenue.
The meeting agenda includes reports on the proposed Susitna State Forest, the Timber Jobs Task Force, wood energy, landslide regulations, and annual reports to the board from the Division of Forestry, Department of Fish and Game and the Department of Environmental Conservation. Other forestry matters may be added on the agenda.
The two-day meeting will be teleconferenced at two locations: the Division of Forestry conference room at 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 1450 in Anchorage, and the DNR Small Conference Room, at 3700 Airport Way in Fairbanks. If no member of the public is present at a teleconference location by 9 a.m., the teleconference may be terminated.
Public testimony has been scheduled for Tuesday, March 20 at 1:30 p.m.
