Anchorage Welcomes OEC – Alaska’s First Revolving Sushi Bar
Anchorage, AK – With five months of operation under its belt, the OEC Revolving Sushi Bar is pleased to be making a name for itself in the Anchorage restaurant market.
When the restaurant opened in September 2011, it staked its claim as the first – and only – revolving sushi bar in the state. Co-owners Thomas T. Kuk, Jong D. Park and Jung S. Han opened the restaurant, which is a new concept for Anchorage but is a traditional style of Japanese dining.
The restaurant strives to live up to its name: OEC, which means “very delicious” in Japanese. Diners will find more than 50 different types of sushi, as well as appetizers, teriyaki, katsu, yakisoba, bulgogi, fried rice, udon, salads, kids meals and desserts. Beer, wine and sake is also available. The current menu is attached, and is also available at www.oecalaska.com.
The restaurant offers a dining experience, featuring arevolving sushi bar that snakes around the entire restaurant. Diners can choose from a wide variety of freshly prepared sushi off the revolving bar, or order from the full menu. In addition to table service, the restaurant also has a to go bar.
The OEC Revolving Sushi Bar serves lunch and dinner, and is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. Monday – Thursday, 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. Friday – Saturday, and noon – 9 p.m. Sunday. It is located at 1200 W. Northern Lights Blvd., Suite H, between REI and Title Wave.
