Today BOEMRE Files Chukchi SEIS Schedule With Court
Before the weekend we needed to give you this link to the Status Report BOEMRE filed today on the revised schedule for compoletion of its Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement prepared for Chukchi Lease Sale 193.
We also provide a report (in progress) of Anglo American CEO Cynthia Carroll's visit to Alaska, and a link to the Gas Pipeline Federal Coordinator's Eleventh Report to Congress.
In another report, readers will note that a weakening of CANADIAN natural gas prices could occur as U.S. production increases. (As all of our readers know, the gas shale phenomenon occuring in the Lower 48 creates impacts on Alaska and Mackenzie gas pipeline financial projections. -dh)
We remember giving a presentation to the Energy Council in Washington last year. This year a number of Alaskan legislators and citizens are in Washington, networking with legislators of other states.
We hope the networking leads to Economics 101 understandings of the importance of sustaining throughput of the Trans Alaska Oil Pipeline by:
1) creating a competitive Alaska oil and gas investment climate, and
2) making sure the federal government begins to work with Alaska and the other states in providing more access to federal OCS and on-shore lands.
Have a nice weekend!

P.S. We're still uploading photos of last Friday night's BOEMRE hearing here.... Send us your testimony or written comment and we'll include it here.
