Senators Giessel, Huggins and Dyson Will Join Reps. Stoltze, Fairclough and Saddler for Town Hall Meeting Saturday, March 19
ANCHORAGE – State Senators Cathy Giessel, Charlie Huggins, and Fred Dyson will host an open forum town hall meeting this Saturday, March 19, 2011 to discuss issues with Eagle River area constituents. The three senators will be joined by Representatives Bill Stoltze, Anna Fairclough, and Dan Saddler. The town hall meeting will be held at the Eagle River Town Center, Room 170 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
The legislators look forward to discussing a range of current issues of concern to Chugiak, Eagle River and Peters Creek area residents, including local roads and other capital projects. They will also discuss major statewide issues, including oil taxes, in-state gas proposals, and Susitna hydro, among others.
Prior to the Town Hall meeting on Saturday, Rep. Fairclough will be hosting CPR training for members of the community. Local firefighters from Anchorage Fire Department Station 11 in Eagle River and the Chugiak Volunteer Fire Department will be there to assist individuals in the training. Constituents will be given CPR kits which includes a DVD so they can train others in CPR. The training starts at 3pm, the first 35 to show up and sign up will receive the training. It only takes 22 minutes. The location is room 170, the same as the town hall meeting.
