March 25 Earthquake Preparedness Brown Bag Lunch LOCATION CHANGED to Loussac Library at NoonDue to incredibly high registration, the one-hour educational presentation has
been moved to the Assembly Chambers in the Loussac Library
Due to a surge in interest about earthquake preparedness, the Anchorage Office of
Emergency Management is moving its Brown Bag Lunch Seminar on Earthquake
Preparedness on March 25, 2011, from 12-1 p.m. to the Anchorage Assembly Chambers at
the Loussac Library, 3600 Denali St. This free, open to the public, presentation was
originally scheduled at the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), but anticipated demand
now exceeds the EOC's capacity.
Because Alaska can experience up to 3,000 earthquakes a month, we invite you to spend your
lunch hour with the Office of Emergency Management learning how to prepare for
earthquakes. You will find out what the myths are about earthquake response, how to prepare
your home, what to do when an earthquake strikes, and more. To register, please go to
www.muni.org/oem and click on the "Register for event" link.
