Bill O'Halloran Named DOT&PF Northern Region M&O Director
The Alaska Department of Transportation is pleased to announce that Bill O’Halloran was appointed Northern Region Maintenance & Operations Director effective Monday, March 21, 2011.
For the past 12 years Bill has served as the Northern Region Aviation M&O Superintendent. He is experienced in management, construction, maintenance, and project development and brings with him outstanding leadership abilities, superior fiscal management and current regulatory knowledge. Bill is well respected by colleagues and the community alike due to his innate ability to communicate effectively while focusing on the details that are vital in management.
As the Northern Region M&O Director Bill is responsible for an annual budget of approximately $76 million. He oversees a staff of 350 people who conduct daily maintenance and operations activities to assure highway, airport, facilities, equipment and public needs are met. Northern Region includes 3,500 miles of roadway, 390 public buildings, 104 public airports, 400 bridges and 5,000 pieces of equipment.
