USCIS to Host Information Session March 24, 2010

Will Showcase Civics, Citizenship, Immigration, and Other Services ANCHORAGE, AK. —U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ Anchorage Field Office will host a free information session here Mar. 24. This is part of a larger USCIS initiative to help immigrants better understand the naturalization process, including the content of the new naturalization test, and to become familiar with free educational resources and materials available from the agency. The public is invited, and USCIS staff will be on hand to discuss the naturalization process step-by-step, and to provide information about eligibility and requirements, application forms, fees, the background security check and processing times. Participants will also see sample questions from the new citizenship test, receive an overview of U.S. history and civic principles, and watch a mock naturalization interview, acted out by our officers. Free educational materials will be handed out while supplies last. A brief mention of this, especially on broadcast media, would mean a lot, and might help your immigrant audience take an important step toward improving their lives. WHO: USCIS Anchorage Field Office WHEN: Mar. 24 1 – 3 p.m. WHERE: 620 East 10th Avenue #102 3rd Floor Conference Room Anchorage, AK 99501
