UIC Announces New In-House CounselTim Schuerch has been named In-House Counsel for Ukpeaġvik Iñupiat Corporation (UIC). Schuerch will serve as the corporation's in-house attorney on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters. Schuerch earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1998.
He has worked in Alaska for Native corporations and tribal health organizations for more than 12 years, with previous positions as President and CEO of Kikiktagruk Iñupiat Corporation of Kotzebue, Alaska; Policy Analyst for the Alaska Native Health Board; and General Counsel for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.
UIC is the village corporation for Barrow, Alaska. With more than 1,900 employees, UIC is consistently ranked among the top ten Alaskan-owned businesses by Alaska Business Monthly's annual Top 49ers.
