State Reaches Tentative Labor Agreement with Teachers’ Education Association of Mt. Edgecumbe

(Juneau, AK) – The State of Alaska’s Department of Administration has reached a tentative agreement on a three-year successor contract with the Teachers’ Education Association of Mt. Edgecumbe (TEAME) covering the period of July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2012.  The agreement now goes to the membership for ratification.

The tentative agreement contains the following provisions:

· 5% Sitka, Alaska cost of living differential beginning July 1, 2010 and a 1% wage increase effective July 1, 2011.

· Beginning July 1, 2010, bargaining unit members will be returned to the State’s Select Benefits Health Insurance program with a monthly health benefit of $1088.00 per member per month.
