Leit Downing Receives Architectural Registration; Promotion to Associate
Anchorage, Alaska, (March 09, 2010) — RIM Architects proudly congratulates one of its employees, Leit Downing, on becoming licensed as a Professional Architect in the State of Alaska. He has also been promoted to Associate within the firm.
Leit has over six years of architectural experience and a Masters of Architecture degree from SavannahCollege of Art & Design. A talented designer, Leit has worked on projects for the National Park Service, U.S. Forest Service, Credit Union 1 and SouthPeninsulaHospital along with several civic and community centered projects in Southeast Alaska.
As a designer, Leit strives to integrate environmentally conscious design into the field of architecture as a standard. As a person, he maintains a healthy, green lifestyle through alternative transportation (bicycling to work year round), supporting local and organic farming, low consumer consumption and recycling, energy efficient living, and as an active member of Cascadia Region Green Building Council.
