Of the three occupants aboard the plane that crashed into trees in Kodiak this afternoon, one has been rescued while the others remain aboard, conscious and alert. The extent of injuries is not known at this time. DOT&PF crews are working to rescue the other two occupants. The people are identified only as a male pilot, a female passenger and a male passenger.


DOT&PF rescuers in Kodiak are attempting to stabilze the aircraft that crashed into trees shortly after 12:30 today. Three people are reportedly aboard the small plane. The plane is positioned vertically in the trees.

DOT&PF fire and rescue crews are responding to a reported aircraft crash off runway 25 at the Kodiak Airport. DOT&PF has learned that the small plane reportedly crashed into trees sometime after 12:30 p.m. No other details are currently available.
