ANCHORAGE CHAMBER SEEKS SUBMISSIONS DEPICTING

"HOME OF THE BRAVE"

Anchorage, AK- The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce is soliciting original two-and three-dimensional artwork depicting a "Home of the Brave" theme.

Members of the community will have an opportunity to purchase the winning patriotic works of art at a live auction held during the Anchorage Chamber's Military Appreciation Luncheon, held at noon on June 7. Proceeds will go to support Anchorage Chamber military programs during Military Appreciation Week.

The Anchorage Chamber Military Appreciation Week, held June 7 to 11, is the state's largest civilian military appreciation event and provides an opportunity for the business community to show support for servicemen and women, and their families, stationed in the Municipality of Anchorage.

Five winners from the following four categories will be chosen: elementary school, middle school, high school and adult. Additionally, each winner will receive a $100 savings bond, or cash option, and will be recognized in the June edition of News & Views, the Anchorage Chamber's monthly newsletter. Entries for the program are solicited statewide and forms are available online at Anchoragechamber.org.

For details, contact Jessica Moreno at 677-7111, or e-mail events@anchoragechamber.org.

The Anchorage Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit, member-driven business organization with more than 1,200 members representing 70,000 employees. For businesses interested in membership, annual fees are based on the type of organization and number of full-time year-round employees.
