Denali Alaskan Opens New Branch in Kenai Walmart
Kenai - Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union opens its 17th Alaska branch inside the new Kenai Walmart, at 10096 Kenai Spur Highway on March 31, 2010. The full-service branch will offer deposit and loan products and services plus an on-site ATM. The branch is open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
David Stafford is the Branch Manager at the new branch. Stafford has been with Denali Alaskan for four years, most recently as the Branch Manager for the Credit Union's Fairbanks Johansen branch. In his free time he enjoys hunting, fishing, golf and football.
"Denali Alaskan is particularly excited about opening in Kenai because it represents a brand new market for us," noted Bob Teachworth, the Credit Union's President & CEO. "We have been researching this area for quite a while, and the opportunity to open a branch in cooperation with the nation's largest retailer is one we could not pass up." Teachworth also points out the Credit Union already has nearly 2000 members in the area, before the branch opened, due to a successful auto lending program through Alaska auto dealers.
Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union is the third largest credit union in Alaska with more than 56,000 members and assets in excess of $430 million. The Credit Union's 17 branches are located in Eagle River, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, Wasilla and Kenai.
