Nashville, TN band performing in Alaska June 19-July 5

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - North American Music Exchange is set to host the Never Ending Sun Tour featuring Nashville-based Americana/Country duo A.L.A. beginning June 19th in Anchorage. Ticketed events include the tour Kick Off Concert at Anchorage City Limits on June 20th, the duo’s official Album Release Show at the Alaska Experience Theatre in Anchorage on June 27th, and their Farewell Concert at Anchorage City Limits on July 5th.

N.A.M.EX. was created to connect people within the United States, promote tourism, and provide opportunities for cultural exchange through music. The organization was founded by Alaska natives Kate Unger and Adam Stewart. The artists on the Never Ending Sun tour will be traveling throughout Alaska to share their original music, experience the wilderness and wildlife, learn about the history of the state, and to forge relationships with the unique and amazing people that call Alaska home.

A.L.A. is comprised of Alaskan fiddler Adam Stewart and southern Alabama singer/songwriter Hope Cassity. Cassity was featured on the cover of Regional Musician Magazine’s September 2013 issue. Her song Closure, recorded by the band Penny Rae, charted top 20 on iTunes and is airing on music television markets nationwide. Stewart, a classically trained violinist, has been featured in several music videos, including the video for Chris Cagle’s top 20 single I Got My Country On. He’s also performed with Craig Morgan for The Grand Ole Opry Live at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. The two began performing together throughout the southeast in 2013 after finding a natural musical chemistry. Their creative bond, both onstage and off, has kept the duo collaborating and their respective audiences captivated. The highlight of the tour will be the release of A.L.A.’s debut album The Couch Sessions.

Concert seating is limited. To learn more about the Never Ending Sun Tour, performance dates, ticket info, and album purchase information, visit their website at http://namex.squarespace.com/.
