Delegation Announces Grants and Contracts to Alaska Programs: June 30, 2014

The Alaska Congressional Delegation is pleased to announce the following grants:

U.S. Department Transportation

  • $17,071,650 for runway rehabilitation at Juneau International Airport

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

  • $216,812 to Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation for development of mariculture industry
  • $192,327 to University of Fairbanks to research changes to Alaska halibut fisheries

U.S. Department of Interior

  • $2,914,600 to P.K. Builders to construct Tribal Huna House in Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve in Bartlett Cove Alaska

U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development

  • $51,894 to Alaska Housing Finance Corporation for public housing relocation
  • $36,736 to Anchorage Coalition to End Homelessness for Continuum of Care planning to prevent homelessness
  • $60,249 to Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living for Continuum of Care Program to rehouse families
  • $1,691,113 to Anchorage for Community Development Block Grants to provide housing for low and moderate-income persons
  • $143,987 to Anchorage for Emergency Solutions Grants to improve prevent homelessness and provide housing and services to the homeless
  • $598,918 to Anchorage for the HOME program to help expand the supply of affordable housing for low and very low-income families

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)

  • $2,808,703 Kotlik for permanent restoration of damages to loop three of the city utilidor system due to severe storms and flooding
     

U.S. Department of Energy

  • $1,205,717 to Alutiiq Pacific, LLC for facility support services for government-owned facilities and infrastructure in Las Vegas, NV
