3-Year Outlook Luncheon tickets on sale now, for AEDC investors only!

On Monday, tickets for the 3-Year Outlook Luncheon went on sale to AEDC Investors only. As of today, more than 50 percent of the tickets have sold! We expect this event to sell out with more than 1,500 business leaders in attendance. Terry Jones started his career as a travel agent and went on to found Travelocity.com, leading the company as President and CEO for six years and took the company public. After leaving Travelocity, Jones co-founded Kayak.com and served as the company's Chairman until it went public and was later sold to Priceline. He wrote the book, ON Innovation, which is a collection of "72 short ideas on how to build teams, create a culture and select the best ideas."

The Anchorage Employment Report is sponsored by First National Bank Alaska. Anchorage unemployment was 5 percent in April.This is a 0.4 percent decline from March and remains well below the statewide rate of 6.5 percent and the national rate of 5.9 percent.

Crowdfunding AK: On Monday, July 28, AEDC will be hosting the co-founder of the international crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo.com at the Bear Tooth Theatre for a lunch hour presentation. Tickets are $15 to attend.

Indiegogo co-founder, Danae Ringlemann, has been named a "Top 50 Women Innovators in Technology" by Fast Company and a "40 Under40" by both Fortune and San Francisco Business Times.
