The Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC) has hired a Vice President of Business Development, Matt Steele, as it expands within the commercial aerospace industry and diversifies its business services.

Steele joins AAC with 34 years of experience in aerospace business development. Most recently, he was Director of Business Development for ATK Launch Services. He graduated with a B.S. in Physics from Kent State University in 1980, and an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix in 2004.

“Matt’s knowledge of the aerospace industry and his tremendous reputation for business development will definitely increase our potential for new business opportunity,” said Craig Campbell, AAC President and CEO. “We are very excited about the addition of Matt to our senior staff.”

“Alaska Aerospace has a lot to offer, and the Kodiak Launch Complex sets an industry standard for spaceport performance and technology,” said Steele. “I look forward to bringing more launches to Kodiak, and to expanding the aerospace footprint within the State of Alaska.”

Steele will be based in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he will be well-positioned to maintain and develop customer relationships.
