Huge concert on Loussac Lawn Stage

A huge crowd is expected at tomorrow’s performance of the Tomodachi Daiko Taiko Drummers. The Drummers have always been the biggest draw of the 10-week Live @ the Library concert series. In its 10th season, Live @ the Library, sponsored by Friends of the Library, features top local musicians, every Thursday at noon, from the first week of June through the second week of August.
Last year, more than 1,000 people attended the Drummers’ concert on the Loussac Library Lawn Stage. Thanks to sunny days and a great lineup this year, the numbers have been way up for the two previous June concerts, so the Drummers will no doubt break the 2012 record. With its diverse crowds including dozens of children, professionals, senior citizens and tourists, this free event epitomizes Anchorage Public Library’s role as this city’s community hub.
Attached is the list of bands performing the rest of the summer. In case of rain, the concert is moved to the Wilda Marston Theatre on the first level of Loussac.
