Governor to Sign Bill Addressing Patient Housing at Alaska Native Medical Center

June 26, 2013, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sean Parnell will sign legislation addressing the critical need for residential housing at the Alaska Native Medical Center. The center currently has a 110-bed capacity. Senate Bill 88 authorizes the state to enter into a lease purchase agreement with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium for construction of residential housing for the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage.
