Buy local and meet artists at Anchorage Museum’s annual Summer Art Mart craft event
Summer Art Mart, the Anchorage Museum’s annual craft event, returns with a wide array of Alaska-made treasures.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, July 3-26, the museum hosts a revolving roster of Alaska artists who specialize in handmade jewelry, woodwork, apparel and more. All artists have work for sale; some also offer demonstrations.
Summer Art Mart (formerly known as Art Potpourri) is juried, meaning artists apply for the opportunity and are selected by a committee of artists and museum staff. Artists chosen for this year’s event include Rick Potter; metal jewelry; Tomoko Duke, stained glass; and KC Lowe, felted wool shawls and scarves. Find a complete artist schedule in the attached document.
A portion of the proceeds benefits the Anchorage Museum.
The Anchorage Museum is the largest museum in Alaska and one of the top 10 most visited attractions in the state. The museum’s mission is to share and connect Alaska with the world through art, history and science. Learn more online at www.anchoragemuseum.org.
