Stephen L. Day named President and CEO of American Fast Freight

Day brings an extensive background in transportation and logistics law to the company.

 

RENTON, WASH., June 4, 2012 – Stephen L. Day was named by the board of directors for American Fast Freight, Inc. (AFF), to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Day joined AFF as Vice President of Corporate Counsel in June 2005. He became Chief Operating Officer in August 2007 and President in June 2009.

Prior to joining AFF, Mr. Day was with the Seattle law firm of Betts, Patterson & Mines, where he was a director and founder of the firm’s transportation and logistics law practice group. He served as chair of that practice group throughout his career at that firm. He joined the firm in 1995 after retiring from a federal service career and served as the firm’s President and CEO from 2001 to June 2005.

The CEO position was previous held by company co-founder Tim Jacobson, who will continue to work for the company from Alaska as Executive Vice President, Business Development.
