Holmes to Meet with U.S. President, White House OfficialsMeetings to include policy briefs, Presidential Reception
Anchorage-Representative Lindsey Holmes travels to Washington D.C. this week to meet with senior White House and Administration officials, followed by a reception with President Obama in the White House. The discussions will cover such critical topics as the economy and energy policy. Rep. Holmes is part of a small group invited to this unique event as a member of the Young Elected Officials Network.
"I am looking forward to meeting with the President and senior members of his administration on issues that are important to the nation and the State of Alaska," Holmes said, "This is a great opportunity to promote Alaska's interests at the national level."
The Young Elected Officials Network (YEO), a project of the People For the American Way Foundation, provides support and training on leadership development and policy issues to over 600 elected officials from all 50 states.
