Free Whittier Tunnel Access June 13


DOT Supports Community Event

WHO: The Alaska Department of Transportation announced it will allow free access to participants of the Walk IN Whittier on Sunday, June 13. Free tunnel access will be available to non-commercial vehicles from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

The Walk IN Whittier is a family friendly event and will provide fun for the kids. Pick up secret treasure maps for the Little Maties Treasure Hunt, enjoy performances from Don The "scallywag" Magic Guy and there will be plenty of Yo-ho-ho pirate games happening in the Triangle. Whittier shops and restaurants will offer discounts that day, as well. Raffle tickets are available for pirate's booty to include free day cruises, a train ride from Anchorage to Denali, an overnight stay at June's B & B and much more.

WHEN: Sunday, June 13, 1 - 5 p.m. (Free Tunnel Access 12:30 - 2:30)  Meet at the cruise ship terminal for free parking, check-in and to get your secret treasure maps from 1 - 3 p.m.
