Denali Alaskan Branch Helps Community Grow
Juneau - Denali Alaskan's Juneau branch found another way to help the community grow. The branch committed to two plots this summer in the Juneau Community Garden, located on Montana Creek Road in the Mendenhall Valley. All the yields of the crop will be donated to the Glory Hole Soup Kitchen.
"The Community Garden project is something I've wanted to do for years," announced Todd West, Juneau Branch Manager. "I was looking for a way for us (Denali Alaskan) to give back that would feel like we contributed to the community." West, along with his staff, will be tending to the garden throughout the season.
To go along with the garden efforts Denali Alaskan is giving away tree seedlings to members who obtained a new product or account at the Juneau branch.
Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union is the third largest credit union in Alaska with more than 56,000 members and assets in excess of $430 million. The Credit Union's 17 branches are located in Juneau, Eagle River, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla and Kenai.
