‘U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific’ is back in Anchorage to Perform at FREE Concert in Downtown

July 22, 2014 (Anchorage, Alaska) – The U.S. Air Force Band of the Pacific, now based out of Hawaii, is coming BACK to Downtown this Friday night at Live After Five for a FREE concert in Town Square from 5:00PM - 8:00PM!

Enjoy outdoor seating, beer and wine garden, popcorn, candy & soda machine, and of course a good time!  Food will also be available by Fat Ptarmigan!

Two portions of the group will be performing, “Hana Hou!” and “Small Kine.” Hana Hou! is the rock band of the United States Air Force Band of the Pacific. This ten member- ensemble performs classic rock, R&B, Top 40, as well as Hawaiian favorites. The group performs throughout the Hawaiian island chain and the Pacific region, and has performed in such diverse locales as Singapore, Australia, Wake Island, and American Samoa.

The Band of the Pacific’s Small Kine, is the unit’s all-acoustic ensemble. Featuring guitar, ukulele, bass, cajón and vocals, their concerts are an eclectic mix of rock, pop, country and local favorites. The group performs concerts throughout the Hawaiian Island chain and the Pacific region and also perform at high-level events for Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, using music to advance international relationships and inspire positive and long-lasting impressions of the Air Force and the United States of America.
