John Bennett, PLS, SR/WA Joins R&M's Right of Way Services Group
R&M CONSULTANTS, INC. (R&M) is pleased to announce the addition of John Bennett, PLS, SR/WA to our Fairbanks office team.
John joined R&M’s Right of Way Group as a Senior Land Surveyor in May 2014. Prior to joining the firm, he spent 28 years with the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Right of Way Section, starting as Titles and Plans Supervisor and ending with almost 15 years as Right of Way Chief. In that time he managed title research, surveys, mapping and platting of private and public lands for a variety of DOT&PF highway projects within the Fairbanks area and would regularly represent the Department before the Fairbanks North Star Borough Platting and Planning Committees. John is a recognized leader in the research and analysis of historic rights of way and has testified as an expert witness in title defense cases. He is a certified instructor with the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) and has co-presented seminars relating to access law and highway rights of way in Alaska.
John holds an A.S. in Survey Technology from Anchorage Community College. He is a professional land surveyor registered in Alaska and is a Senior Right of Way Professional, certified through IRWA.
