Salmon Daze Festival Celebrates Alaska’s Wild Salmon in Downtown Anchorage
Don’t miss out on this fun filled day in Downtown Anchorage with a festival celebrating one of Alaska’s most valuable resources: wild Salmon! Salmon Daze will be held on Saturday, July 20th from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on G Street between 3rd and 5th Avenue.
Combined with the 5th annual G Street Art Fair, the event will feature a Smoked Salmon Contest, Live Music & Beer Garden with music by: Ezza Rose and the Band-Alaska Tour, Jackie Shafer & the Standard Deviations, Dan Pascucci, Bayou Glacee, and John Damberg Latin Jazz Ensemble, Face Painting, Fish Pond, and food vendors. With all of these fun, family friendly activities, you’re guaranteed to have a great time.
The event will also feature over twenty (20) local Alaskan artists and galleries who will show and sell their latest creations. Various types of artwork will be displayed such as recycled art, photography, jewelry, paintings, fiber art, pottery, glasswork, clothing, leather, carvings and more! There will be an array of local talent including a artistic fishing booth manned by Duke Russell, hand painted shoe artist Romney Dodd and many more!
Come on down to Salmon Daze to help the city of Anchorage celebrate one of our most valued resources, Wild Salmon and meet and greet these talented artists in Downtown at this one-day event!
